A faculty adviser for Indiana University’s student newspaper filed a federal lawsuit Thursday arguing his free speech and due process rights were violated when he was fired for refusing to ensure no news stories appeared in the homecoming print edition earlier this month. Let’s say you were scanning the recent headlines and wanted to know when the East Wing of the White House was constructed. You might ask ChatGPT. Or maybe you’d just google it.Either way, you’d get a good answer — although slightly different versions. (Google’s AI answers has a snippet from Wikipedia that notes the East Wing was originally constructed in 1902; ChatGPT offers the 1942 two-story version.)The point is, I don’t actually have to visit Wikipedia’s website to find out, even if the information is sourced from Wikipedia. “Bro-science” has long claimed animal proteins are essential for serious gains. This seems to make sense when you consider that foods like beef, chicken, and eggs deliver a dose of protein and an amino acid profile that, on paper, is superior to what you would get from a can of beans. For this reason, the common belief is that feasting mostly on plants is a recipe for deflated pecs. Well, the latest research suggests that we can forgo the steak and whey and still pack on more lean mass. Reassurance that those choosing plant-based diets can reach their fitness goals…
Most people tracking their health today end up with scattered clues. Their smartwatch shows sleep duration. A fitness app logs steps. A nutrition app counts calories. Yet few tools help people understand how all of this fits together. Bevel, a New York–based startup, believes that’s the missing piece in the shift toward proactive health. The company has raised a $10 million Series A from General Catalyst to scale its AI health companion, which unifies data from wearables and daily habits across sleep, fitness, and nutrition into personalized insights. The investment follows a breakout year for the two-year-old health tech company.…

Go ahead and roll your eyes. Shrug your shoulders. Or maybe just juggle your hands in the air.Dictionary.com’s word of the year isn’t even really a word. It’s the viral term “6-7” that kids and teenagers can’t stop repeating and laughing about and parents and teachers can’t make any sense of.The word — if you can call it that — exploded in popularity over the summer.
