Frozen vegetables sold in six states were recalled over a possible listeria contamination.

Endico Potatoes Inc. in Mount Vernon, New York, recalled its frozen peas and carrots, as well as its mixed vegetables, the company announced Wednesday.

No illnesses have been reported, according to the announcement shared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The recalled food was sold between July 18 and Aug. 4 in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Florida, and D.C.

The company said the food was packaged in frozen 2.5-pound clear plastic bags with a use-by date of June 10, 2027.

The company said that sampling done by the state of Pennsylvania at one of the distributors “revealed that the finished products tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.” Distribution of the product was halted as the company investigates what caused the contamination.

Listeria causes flu-like symptoms, including fatigue, muscle aches, headache, fever, confusion, loss of balance, stiff neck, and seizures, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Pregnant women, newborns, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are the most vulnerable.

People who have purchased the recalled food are urged to return it to the store for a full refund.
