Twin brothers Auston and Ashton Tureaud have shared many important milestones over the years, and this week, they shared another, welcoming their newborn sons on the same day, at the same hospital.

The Tureaud brothers and their wives, who also happen to share the same first name — Courtney Dupuy Tureaud and Courtney Edwards Tureaud — welcomed baby boys Briggs and Tate on March 2 at Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Although the Tureaud families were expecting at the same time and joked about potentially having their babies together, both couples said they never thought they’d actually deliver on the same day, as their due dates were nine days apart.

As it turned out, they all ended up in the hospital on the same day, and both babies were delivered by the same doctor as well.

“The number of ‘twin-cidences’ are just astonishing,” Auston Tureaud told “Good Morning America.”

Briggs and Tate not only share the same birthday but also measured the same length and were just a single ounce apart when it came to their weight.

Auston Tureaud said he hopes the two boys will be very close when they grow up, “like two peas in a pod.”
